Rabbi Elazar states in the name of Rabbi Chanina: Torah scholars increase peace in the world, as it says: “And all your children [banayich] shall be taught of Hashem, and great shall be the peace of your children.” (Yeshayahu 54:13) The Sages interpreted this verse homiletically: Do not read your children [banayich], but your builders [bonayich]. (Brochos 64a)Students come to Binyan with many strengths and abilities.

The goal of Binyan is to build upon these strengths and abilities, helping each student reach his or her full potential. Children who attend Binyan will im yirtzeh Hashem grow to be the builders of our future, carrying the flame of Torah and Mitzvos.

Our Students

Binyan students are eager, motivated, and actively involved participants in their education. Binyan students tackle challenges with perseverance and grit, are willing to work hard, and take pride in their accomplishments. With average to above average intelligence, behavioral stability, and emotional well-being, Binyan students have diagnosed language based learning disabilities such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, mild to moderate ADHD, and executive functioning difficulties. 

Our Faculty

Our faculty includes Literacy specialist, Speech and Language therapists, Educational Coordinators, Mentors and a School Administrator. Each classroom is staffed with a specialized educator, as well as additional support staff available for individualized reading and math instruction per each child’s individual education plan.  Our educators are passionate, engaging, caring, warm, fun, collaborative, devoted, resourceful, creative, exciting, professional, and flexible individuals who believe in being lifelong learners and value every student.

Binyan collaborates with community resources for all therapeutic services such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. 

Academic Instruction 

Every moment of the day is carefully crafted to facilitate growth. Our instruction is specifically designed to maximize our students’ abilities to learn core limudei kodesh subjects areas, including Kriah, Tefillah, Chumash, Mishna/Gemara (for boys), Navi, Gedolim, Yomim Tovim, and Yediyos Klalios. Our general studies curriculum includes language arts, history, and STEAM subjects (science, technology, engineering, art, math). Binyan’s program builds upon individual strengths while teaching students the skills they need to realize their academic potential, enabling those who are ready to return to mainstream settings with confidence and success. Students learn in small group settings as well as receive individual/tracked support per their educational plan.  Formal assessments are completed twice a year. Features of our educational model include research-based multisensory instructional programs.
